Sticks and Stones By Maurice
I was touching stuff like crazy, sticks, wood, trees, wrappers, Mountain Dew can, flowers. The smell was nasty. The mix of trees, wood, grass and gas. Now I look around me. I see grass, wood chips, sticks, trees, birds and a mouse. There is a sign. Beautiful flowers around me. I wonder what it looked like one hundred years ago before we messed it up?

Forest By Yolanda
I see the green weeds everywhere. I see the twigs that fall in the trees. I see plants all around me. I see big brown and green trees. I see the never ending blue sky. I hear the birds singing their lullaby. I see a white butterfly flying around by the never ending path. Some weeds are different than one another. The small yet so fragile bird is watching the sky. The twigs are all different sizes. All the trees are different. I smell sweet flowers. The grass is bright and tall with the never ending path. Heart of Thoughts By Dearest
Sweet and Nice. Watching the mice, rolling that dice. Look on the ground. I hear the sound of a bird flying and sighing at the same time and I looked down by my feet and I saw a dime. Back in the meadow I saw a shadow. Hey you! Yes, you. I want you to come over here and dance while you still have a chance.
Embracing Nature By Alisha
The tall grass is wavering in the wind. The dandelions stand tall and proud as if wanting to say they own the place. The wild flowers surround each other like friends. The wind twirls around me as if saying, “Dance with me.” The summer sun blankets me in light, humid warmth. The birds sit in the trees resting for their wings are tired. Sprouts of new grass spring up for a new season has sprung. Ants scurry on the ground. The ground is cool and damp because of the rain. The birds chirp wildly wanting to get a reply. Shadows of many plants surround me and hide me. The young trees reach high up wanting attention. The trees reach out to give me shade. The tar of the trail warms where I sit.
Nature By Amethyst
The winds blow the tall green grass towards. Deer run past the green meadow and above lies a full golden sun. It’s reflection beams down below on the shining water. I stand on the soft dirt and soil. This is what I saw before my eyes.

Grass is shaking from the force of the wind. I feel the hot cement on my skin. I smell the cool air. I see purple flowers with a little bit of yellow, the color of a dandelion bright and blooming, with a green stem.
Come Outside By Arnel
Come outside looking at nature. I notice the bee taking the pollen off the blooming flowers as I walk through the dry path going into the woods. I couldn’t seem to notice that nature was all around me. Sitting on the bench in the woods, I could see the heat waves in the atmosphere. By the woods that are close to school I see a bulldozer scaring the birds away. A few minutes later the birds started singing. When I touch the floor and smell it, it smells like weeds. Everyone should come outside and enjoy nature.

The scent of summer in the air, feeling the rough green grass and I hear the sound of wind blowing through the trees. I hear the squirrel next to me. The summer dew drops on the grass shall lighten a soul.

I sit in the forest and on this big rough bumpy log. As I sit I can’t help but notice there is nature. I smell the soft light breeze. As I sit I can’t help feel the hot glistening sun on the back of my neck. As I sit on this log I see a beautiful animal. What is it? It was a light brown small deer. I started to walk close and I could see the fear in his eyes. I started to walk back and I saw a tree. This was not just a tree. It was tall and brown. It was a happy tree. I felt as if was trying to ell me something. As I walk I feel the tall wet itchy grass rubbing against my legs. I came and sat down again and I couldn’t help but notice the bright yellow dandelions and the violet purple flowers. My body felt as if I was floating in the air. I was amazed by the sound of the humming birds. They were beautiful. This was all when I sat on a log in the forest.
